For the countdown to 2016 I was actually in the lobby of the Hyatt Regency Shinjuku where the hotel held a small celebration with a choir in the lobby. Supper that night was a sashimi take-out that I had purchased in the supermarket in Shinjuku.

The next morning, I skipped breakfast at the hotel to board the bus bound for Tokyo Haneda Airport. I would once again be boarding a domestic ANA flight to Sapporo Chitose Airport and since I have actually written about the experience before, I would not write about the whole thing again since it is more or less the same. However the photos during the take-off during the New Year morning was just spectacular that I think it deserves a post here in my blog.

With that, here goes my first photo trip report:

I’m still a little fascinated how ANA flies such big planes on domestic routes! Thanks for the review!

The 777 is a very fuel efficient plane and I do believe they can get quite packed during the summer time or the peak holiday season in Japan.

Absolutely. Even business travel seems to be so important that both, JAL and ANA got several widebody planes flying on the domestic routes!
